In the old Dell/Gold Key comics, Honey Bunny originally looked something like Lola, with yellow fur and drooping lop ears (Lola ties her back in a ponytail, but they still drooped). Her personality was less satisfying than either version of Lola, being generally a whiney damsel-in-distress who needed Bugs' (or sometimes even Elmer's) help to get her out of trouble. I think that Lola is the original Honey Bunny having grown up and learned to stand on her own two rabbit's feet. The new one was probably cloned off Bugs by Peter Lorre (after all, he was in several Warners cartoons) when he wasn't looking.
